Where to stay in Gurugram
Six neighbourhoods matter — Cyber City, Golf Course Road, MG Road, Sector 29, Sohna Road, and near IGI. Here's who each one suits, from ₹2377 hostel bunks to ₹30428 LEED-Platinum suites.
Golf Course Road high-rise hotels at dusk
DLF Cyber City and Udyog Vihar
The default for business travel. The Oberoi Gurgaon and Trident share a LEED Platinum campus on Udyog Vihar with rooms from ₹22821–₹30428 — both are audit-ready for ESG-conscious procurement. The Leela Ambience on NH-8 (₹24723) holds IGBC certification. All three put you within 10 minutes of Cyber Hub, the Rapid Metro, and every Fortune 500 tenant's Indian HQ. Rooms are large by Indian standards, breakfast buffets are excellent, and airport transfer is 25 minutes.
Beyond the Oberoi–Trident campus, Grand Hyatt Gurgaon and Le Meridien Gurgaon Delhi NCR sit on the same NH-8 stretch at ₹15000–₹21000, pulling the same conference and airline-crew traffic. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Gurgaon New Delhi NCR and Taj City Centre Gurugram run ₹9000–₹13000, a rung down in price but still inside the 10-minute Cyber Hub radius, useful when the expense report has a ceiling but the meeting doesn't move. Hilton Gurugram Baani City Centre, technically on Golf Course Road Extension, is close enough to work for a Cyber City stay and is often cheaper than the NH-8 cluster. Book Monday to Thursday during a trade-fair week — Cyber City sells out fast when a summit lands, and rates can double on three days' notice.
Golf Course Road
Trident's sister property Trident Gurgaon is technically here, alongside the Crowne Plaza Today (₹14263), Hyatt Regency Gurgaon (₹17116), and the new Roseate House variants. Golf Course Road puts you close to Cyber Hub without being on top of it, and the restaurants (Comorin, Farmer's Basket, Yum Yum Cha) are a short walk. Better than Cyber City if you want any pretence of a residential neighbourhood feel.
For longer stays, Lime Tree Service Apartment Golf Course Road Gurgaon offers one- and two-bedroom units from ₹6500, a better deal than a hotel room if you're here for a week of client meetings and want a kitchen. Bloom Hotel Golf Course Road Sector 43, Bloom Golf Course Road, and Qotel Signature Golf Course Road cover the ₹5000–₹8000 band with clean, design-forward rooms aimed at younger business travellers rather than expense-account executives. All three sit within a 10-minute auto ride of Trident Gurgaon and the Golf Course Road restaurant strip, so you lose nothing in location by trading down from the five-star rate. Pick Lime Tree if you need laundry and a stove; pick Bloom if you just need a bed and fast Wi-Fi.
MG Road and Sector 29
Mid-range business hotels — Ibis, Radisson, Country Inn — priced ₹8558–₹12361. Ideal if you want to walk to Sector 29's bar strip at night. The neighbourhood feels older and more actually-Indian than Cyber City. MG Road metro is direct to Delhi in 55 minutes. Not the choice for a first-time visitor who wants pool time; go here if you’re a repeat traveller with a specific meeting radius.
Right on the Sector 29 leisure strip, Hotel Limon Near Sector 29 Gurgaon and Lime Tree Hotel Near 32nd Avenue Sector 29 Gurgaon put you inside a five-minute walk of the bars and restaurants at ₹4500–₹7500 a night — noisier on weekend nights, but you're not paying for a taxi home. Hotel 91 Huda City Centre sits closer to the metro interchange itself, useful if you're connecting onward to Delhi early the next morning. Taj City Centre Gurugram and The Westin Gurgaon New Delhi, both in the broader MG Road–Sushant Lok belt at ₹13000–₹18000, are the upscale exceptions in this otherwise mid-range corridor, aimed at travellers who want MG Road's location without dropping to a budget-brand room.
Budget: Sectors 14 and 15
Zostel Gurgaon (₹2092 dorm, ₹4279 private) in Sector 14 is clean, reliable, and 10 minutes' walk from Sector 29. Treebo and FabHotel properties across Sectors 14 and 15 sit at ₹2853–₹5230 a night. Avoid the ultra-cheap listings east of the railway line unless the reviews are recent and specific. Near the airport, Roseate House and the Andaz Delhi are the two credible options if you have a 5am flight and don’t want to guess at Gurugram traffic.
Enkay Residency Sector 15 is a step up from the FabHotel and Treebo listings at ₹3500–₹5500, with a lift and a proper reception desk, which matters more than it sounds at this price point in Gurugram. RJK Sector 49 Residency Near Huda Metro Station and Clay Inn Hotel Sohna Road Sector 49 Gurugram extend the same budget band south toward Sohna Road, both walkable to the Huda City Centre metro in under 15 minutes. For an early flight, Deventure Sarovar Portico Kapashera and Hotel Decent Suites Delhi Airport sit inside a 10-minute drive of IGI's Terminal 3 and cost less than the Roseate House–Andaz pairing already mentioned, at ₹4500–₹7000 rather than luxury rates.
Sohna Road and southern Gurugram
Sohna Road runs south from Sector 29 toward Sohna town, and it's where Gurugram gets cheaper and quieter without leaving city limits. Radisson Gurugram Sohna Road City Center anchors the strip at ₹9000–₹12000, with the reliability of an international chain but none of the Cyber City surcharge. Clay Inn Hotel Sohna Road Sector 49 Gurugram runs ₹4000–₹6000 and is the better pick if your business is with the IT and manufacturing units along Sector 48–68, not with Cyber Hub. Traffic on Sohna Road backs up badly at the Rajiv Chowk and Ghata flyovers between 8am and 10am; budget an extra 20 minutes if you're heading north for a 9am meeting.
Further out, past Sector 90, the corridor turns semi-rural. The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa sits inside the Aravalli foothills roughly 25 minutes past the last Sohna Road flyover, a genuine resort with a golf course and spa rather than a business hotel, from ₹13000. Heritage Village Resorts & Spa Manesar Gurgaon, on the NH-8 side rather than Sohna Road proper, plays the same role for travellers heading toward Manesar's industrial belt. Neither makes sense for a Cyber City meeting — the drive back is 45 minutes minimum in evening traffic — but both are the right call for a weekend that's actually meant to be a break from Gurugram's office parks.
Near IGI Airport
If your Gurugram trip is bookended by early or late flights, staying near IGI's Terminal 3 beats fighting NH-8 traffic at 4am. Centaur Hotel IGI Airport and Airport Hotel Grand Delhi sit inside the airport perimeter road, from ₹6000–₹9000, with 24-hour check-in built around flight schedules rather than hotel norms. Hotel Decent Suites Delhi Airport, Hotel Royal inn igi, and Hotel Urban Lion Igi Airport Delhi cover the ₹3500–₹5500 band a few minutes further out on the Mahipalpur side, fine for a six-hour layover sleep but not somewhere to base a multi-day Gurugram visit.
Deventure Sarovar Portico Kapashera and Hotel Luxe Opera NH8 7km from IGI Airport Delhi sit on the Gurugram side of the airport, closer to NH-8 than to the terminal itself, and are the better choice if you still need a short hop into Cyber City the next morning — call it 20 minutes against 45 from most Mahipalpur options. None of these are a base for sightseeing or business inside Gurugram proper; pick this cluster only when the flight, not the meeting, is dictating the itinerary.
Serviced apartments and farm stays outside the city
For stays over a week, Citadines Paras Square Gurugram offers serviced one- and two-bedroom apartments from ₹8000 with housekeeping and a kitchenette, aimed at relocating executives rather than overnight visitors, and it sits close enough to Golf Course Road to still count as a city stay. If you want out of the office-park loop entirely for a weekend, the farm stays scattered across the Aravalli edge — Priya Living Flower Valley, Elivaas 5 BHK with Pool Tents & Pond Kaimalgarh Farmstay, and The Leela's Farm — run ₹6000–₹15000 a night depending on group size, and none of them are a sensible base for a business trip; the nearest is close to an hour from Cyber City. Book these for a genuine break, not as a cheaper alternative to a Golf Course Road hotel.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before they set off on this one.
Only if you value convenience over character. It's an office park with excellent hotels. For a first Gurugram visit with time to look around, Golf Course Road or MG Road is more interesting.
The Oberoi Gurgaon (LEED Platinum), Trident Gurgaon (LEED Platinum), The Leela Ambience (IGBC), and Andaz Delhi (LEED Gold) all publish sustainability reports and can supply documentation for procurement.
Gurugram if your meetings are here or in south Delhi. Central Delhi if you’re doing tourism only. The 30 km drive is 90 minutes each way in traffic and burns half a day either direction.
Zostel Gurgaon in Sector 14 at ₹2092 for a dorm bunk, or a Treebo private twin from ₹2853 in the same area. Both are clean, staffed 24 hours, and walkable to metro.
Centaur Hotel IGI Airport and Airport Hotel Grand Delhi sit inside the airport perimeter for ₹6000–₹9000, with round-the-clock check-in. Budget options like Hotel Decent Suites Delhi Airport and Hotel Royal inn igi run ₹3500–₹5500 a few minutes further out. If you still need a Gurugram meeting the next morning, Deventure Sarovar Portico Kapashera on the Gurugram side is a shorter drive back into Cyber City than anything on the Mahipalpur side.
Citadines Paras Square Gurugram and Lime Tree Service Apartment Golf Course Road Gurgaon both offer kitchenette apartments from ₹6500–₹8000 a night, cheaper than a hotel room once you're staying more than four or five nights. Both are on or near Golf Course Road, within the same 10-minute radius of Cyber Hub as the five-star cluster. Housekeeping is typically every other day rather than daily — ask at check-in if you need it more often.
