You get around Sohna on foot and by car, not by nightlife. From Sohna town centre, walk up to the sulphur springs, continue along the ridge trail south along the Aravalli edge, and descend via the temple stepped path back to town. It is real Aravalli scrub, with occasional peacocks and langurs, and views back over the resort rooftops on the return leg. Carry water, as there are no stalls along the ridge itself. The loop takes 90 minutes at an easy pace, best done 6:30-8am. Road access is along the Sohna Road corridor from Gurugram, which runs through Sector 47, 49, 50, 68 and 69.
When to go
October to February brings cool days, comfortable evenings and clear Aravalli views, and the hot springs work year-round but you will appreciate them more in winter. March-May is hot, 35-42°C. June-September is monsoon and heat combined. If you are walking the ridge trail, go 6:30-8am and skip after 10am November-February for haze, April-September for heat. Weekdays are quiet and undersold; Fri-Sun book two weeks ahead.
