Kankon is reached by road from Margao, about 40 km away, or from Karwar in Karnataka. The nearest railway station is Canacona on the Konkan Railway, with connections to Mumbai, Mangalore and other cities, and buses run regularly from Margao and Panaji. Once in Kankon, local buses, auto-rickshaws and taxis connect the town with Palolem, Agonda and the other beaches.
