Getting there and around

Bali is well-connected by road. The nearest airport is Jodhpur (about 130 km), which has daily flights from major Indian cities. From Jodhpur, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Bali; the drive takes around 3 hours. Alternatively, you can reach by train to Jawai Bandh railway station, which is about 15 km from Bali. From Gurugram, it's a long drive of approximately 600 km, typically done over two days. Once in Bali, local taxis and auto-rickshaws are available for short trips, but for safaris and exploring the region, it's best to arrange transport through your hotel.

When to go

The best time to visit Bali is from October to March, when the weather is cool and pleasant. Summers (April to June) are extremely hot, with temperatures often exceeding 40°C, making wildlife sightings and outdoor activities uncomfortable. The monsoon (July to September) brings greenery but can make roads slippery and safaris less predictable. Winter is ideal for leopard sightings, as animals are more active during the day.
