DLF Phase 4 is a plotted residential colony sitting west of Golf Course Road and south of Sushant Lok. It's DLF's third-generation development — bigger plots than Phase 1, more consistent architecture, a proper block-park at the centre. Hotels barely exist here in the conventional sense; the offering is 4-5 boutique serviced apartments and homestays serving longer-stay corporate visitors. Rates ₹6656-₹10935 for a one-bedroom serviced flat with a kitchen.
Suits: consultants on 4-week engagements who want to cook their own breakfast; families visiting Gurugram-based relatives; ESG-audit teams who need a stable base for two weeks. Doesn’t suit: two-night business trips, anyone wanting a hotel gym and room service, first-time visitors. The trade is space and neighbourhood feel for hotel convenience. Getting food after 10pm involves Swiggy or a 15-minute walk to Galleria Market.
The central block-park itself is the neighbourhood's genuine amenity — a fenced, gated green square shared by T, U and V blocks, locked at 9pm and reopened at 5:30am by the resident welfare association's guard. It's small, maybe 400m round, but it is where DLF Phase 4 actually happens: morning walkers, evening badminton games under the four floodlights, kids on cycles after school. Nothing about it is designed for a visitor, and that's rather the point. Staying here for a week means becoming a temporary local rather than a guest, which is either the appeal or the deterrent depending on why you've come.
Anyone drawn to Phase 4 by the DLF name expecting shopping-mall polish should look at Phase 1 or Golf Course Road instead — Phase 4 has no retail high street of its own, just the small market at its southern edge and a scattering of general stores inside the block grid. What it offers instead is quiet: no nightclub, no late bar, no group of tourists on the pavement. By 9pm the internal roads carry almost no traffic beyond a returning car or a delivery scooter, and by 10pm the colony is properly asleep.
Best zone is anywhere within 700m of the Phase 4 central block-park, roughly the T, U and V blocks. Serviced-apartment operators — Nook, StayVista, Bespoke — cover this radius. ₹7132-₹10935 for a one-bedroom flat. High season (October-March, when consultants and auditors book out the handful of serviced-apartment operators) pushes rates to the top of that band, ₹9500-₹10935 a night; in the June-August low season the same one-bedroom units drop to ₹6656-₹7800, often with negotiable weekly discounts. Avoid anything advertising Phase 4 near the Faridabad Road side; that's a different micro-location with poor access to Golf Course Road and much longer commutes. Sabziwala cart parked at V-block corner 8-10am daily. Fresh produce cheap — okra, tomato, onion, chilli — pay ₹190 for a proper morning-market haul. Serviced-apartment kitchens generally have basic cookware.
Just north of Phase 4, off Sector 29 side. 30-acre landscaped park with running paths, boating pond, open until 8pm, ₹20 entry. Best Sunday 7-10am — real neighbourhood scene, jogging groups, families.
The small market at Phase 4's south edge has a Bikanervala doing decent paratha-and-chai for ₹285. Open 7am. Family scene, not a coffee-shop scene.
15 minutes on foot from central Phase 4, north via the internal road grid. Galleria has real coffee (Blue Tokai), real bookshops (Om Book Shop), and a decent dinner scene. Better than anything in Phase 4 proper.
The T/U/V block-park has two coned-off badminton areas, informally run by residents; turn up after 6pm with a racket, or ask to join a group. No fee, no booking — just polite enough to ask before stepping into someone's game.
Sector 29's restaurant-and-bar strip is a 10-minute, ₹80 auto ride from Phase 4's market gate. Useful for an evening out that Phase 4 itself can't provide; autos back into the colony are easy to find until around 11:30pm.

From Indira Gandhi International Airport the fastest route is a taxi or Uber straight down NH-8 and Golf Course Road Extension, roughly 45-60 minutes and ₹900-₹1200 depending on traffic; there's no direct metro link from the airport itself. Nearest Rapid Metro is Phase 2 or Sector 42-43, both 800m-1.2 km from Phase 4 core — a 12-minute walk or ₹60 auto. To Cyber City: metro plus 4 minutes, or Uber 12 minutes and ₹571. Inside the colony walking is fine; internal roads are quiet and have functional pavements.
